He shoots through a gaggle of telephone poles, razor wire and chain link fencing that simultaneously frame and obscure the main subject matter—the Midtown Skyline. His use of color is triumphant, with a hazy blue skyline accented by a punchy red foreground element. Finally, Funk frames the scene tightly to balance all aspects harmoniously.
