Zapatista Asentado br circa 1932 br Conte crayon and wash on paper br 24 x 14 inches (61.0 x 35.6 cm) br Signed lower left: Ramos-Martinez Signed lower left: Ramos-Martinez br Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from The Alfredo Ramos Martinez Research Project, dated October 26, 2011, and signed by Louis Stern, as well as by an email from Mr. Stern indicating an updated archive number, ARM0316. br Condition: Water damage along extreme upper edge; staining along extreme lower edge; However it does not visually affect the overall impression of the work since its location is on the extreme edge and that it seems to blend with the markings by the artist. In fact, it integrates itself into the picture. After all, this is a picture of a man squatting in dirt. Also, there are some scattered small foxing spots, most notably to the edges; mild overall buckling. The saturation of the black is strong. Matted and framed under acrylic.
