It's a 3 in 1er. Street photography. Photojournalism. Staged photography. Although in 1975 there was no such term as staged photography. To my knowledge, I was the first published photographer to used miniatures, cutouts, toys and little props as an ongoing style. It was in Camer35 Magazine in 1977. Later in March 1979, I wrote an article using props and miniatures for Petersen's Photographic Magazine. Given it's period in time, perhaps it's the "Miniature "Manifesto". br An upward angle of a larger than life, heroic Fireman creates powerful graphic . Piercing late light and accompanying long shadows combined with a simple composition give the image a compelling look. br Robert Funk is a pioneer of Staged Photography , Miniature Photography and Thingie Photography. He was widely published in the late 1970's and early 1980's and published an article on Staged Photography in the early 1980's.
