Veteran street photographer Mitchell Funk creates an arresting image composed of contrasting elements. A common New York City street light morphs into a haunting abstraction while the bridge to its immediate left is clear and sharp. The red street light stares down the viewer as it uncomfortably pushes forward into the viewer's space. On the other hand, the bridge appears to be running away as recedes into the distant zone. The right side of the image is hot red and yellow while the left is a cool blue. A dynamic dialog between the two elements fuels a tense composition of urban elements. It's a straight shot done on location without any photoshop manipulation. br Signed dated and numbered 3\\u002F15 lower right recto, other sizes available, unframed.
