"Negative Color with Magenta and Blue " 1970, does not only heralds a new era of abstract color photography but it's actually beautiful to look at. Creating images that were state of the art art were only half the story. Funk always wanted to make a picture optically gratifying. The viewer wants to look at the picture and come back to it over and over again for new visual stimulation and discovery.
