In the 1970's, photography was much harder to do. Camera technology or lack of it was basic. There was no Photoshop. Photographers had to bracket to get the right exposure. Lenses did not self-focus. There was no in-camera preview to see an image. You had to mail your Kodachrome to the Kodak processing facility in Fairlawn, New Jersey and wait about a week to see what you images looked like. Perhaps, the biggest issue with photography in the 1970’s… it was Expensive! A roll of Kodachrome with 36 exposures was $4 and processing costed $3.50. This made photographers more selective in pressing the shutter release and resulted in less images to ultimately edit.
