In the 1970's, Mitchell Funk introduced into color photography many trends that were prevalent in painting. He created an new updated version of Cubism, we will refer to it as “ Photo-Cubism”. By photographically superimposing one image on another image from different angles with different colored gels, Funk creates successive phases of movement to stationary objects. The effect is a visual feast of hyper bight colors in a geometric labyrinth of interlocking planes and shapes.
