The 35mm Kodachrome film emulsion was burned with a match creating an abstract bubbling effect and a hole to reveal a man's face. This radical, trailblazing photograph incorporates several art disciplines in one. It reveals the artist's affinities for wild color, shape and experimentation that would define his early work and develop a new visual language for Color Photography. Exhibited in"Images en Couleur', The First Color Photography Exhibition at a Major Museum" in 1970.
