He struts and dances down a ship's hallway as on-lookers delight in his little jig. A bridge and town are visible in the upper right. There is a possible Madeline sighting to the left of the waiter. This work is a deceptively great Bemelmans because it evokes the artist's unique brand of wit and charm.
