A milk truck is seen caressed in the golden light of early morning, as a woman bends down to feed her cat. The artist depicts a precious moment as a older woman reaching down to pick up the milk and eggs deposited on her front porch. The delivery truck is seen off the side as it drives away into the golden light of early morning. It is not totally clear whether the women is trying to pet a scratching cat a well, as she leans down. Clearly, the cat is away that the milk is there. This is a full story being told in one picture. It captures Americana in the artist formidable academic style where the lighting, figures and architectural details are masterfully described. Bowler was a top illustrator. This was mostly likely down for a major newsstand magazine like the Saturday Evening Post
