If anyone has ever put pen to paper and tried to draw a face or a figure with any level of success, then you know how hard it is to do. Cartoonists are first conceptual artists for hire, but moreover, they are great technicians with deep academic training. Dink Siegel is at the top of the list of great figurative painters. With a few lines and a dash, a color, his complex figurative compositions come to life. Siegel makes it look so easy. In this 1970s cocktail party, he packs the picture with people, and yet each expression and body gesture successfully br contributes to his cinematic narrative. In this work, two storylines are unfolding simultaneously. The blond joyful recounts her "Threesome" experience to a slightly older woman.
