Pioneering Staged Photographer Robert Funk paints an 8-foot giraffe on
plywood and physically brings it into Grand Central Station. On an upper
level, he shoots it with a flash, capturing the incongruity of a large
animal inside a New York City landmark. In the background, a woman is
caught with a surprised expression. To the left of the giraffe, the
remnants of a boy are seen against a cropped, backlit Kodak sign.
This
work is signed, dated, and numbered 2/15 recto, unframed; printed
later; other sizes available; printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. Fine
