Eduardo García Benito, also known simply as García Benito was a Spanish fashion illustrator and painter, noted for his Vogue covers of the 1920s and 1930s
At the age of twenty-one, he was awarded a scholarship by the Valladolid city council to expand his studies in Paris, where he quickly entered the circles of artistic modernity making friends with artists such as Pablo Gargallo , Picasso , José Clara , Juan Gris , Modigliani and Gauguin . would influence his work of artistic currents of Modernity. There he established himself as a portrait painter, a decorative artist and illustrator.
