In 1969 Color Photography as art was not even on the radar. With little artistic recognition, there were a few pioneers exploring this overlooked medium. Along with Ernst Haas, Pete Turner and a few others, Mitchell Funk was at the forefront of experimenting with color for colors sake. This image is 52 years old and yet has a delightful freshness to it. We are re-introducing this important work to a new audience many of which were not born when it was taken.
